According to the host of the 2014 NYC Startup Weekend the startup weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. This tech/startup convention takes over a week once every year around the globe and is a great place to highlight any innovation while checking out what other cool innovations have been created. The conference prides itself on having a mixture of both startups, growth companies and established large businesses. This mixture creates a self-reinforcing cycle of innovation. 3. The Startup Conference

With close to 2,000 entrepreneurs, the Startup Conference is one of the largest conferences in Silicon Valley for starting your startup, learning how to pitch VCs, find co-founders, launch your product to the press and more. It has a startup fair and competition where startups can actually launch day of and compete with others in their field for recognition and financial benefits. This conference expands to two days and features 75 stellar speakers from Israel-facing companies and is being held in Los Angeles, California this year. You can’t miss big names like the SXSW which is ideal for creative startups looking for a fan base, The Next Web which is a global conference all about tech and The Lean Startup Conference which is a top event in any entrepreneur’s calendar. Participating in these conferences allows startups to network with other like-minded individuals, learn new skills, learn about examples of trial and error in their field and check out their competition.
